Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of BunkBill. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use BunkBill.
1. What BunkBill does
BunkBill helps households track shared subscriptions and expenses, split costs, vote on what to keep, set budgets, and get reminders. We are an organisation and decision-making tool — we are not a party to your relationships with the services you subscribe to (Netflix, Spotify, etc.).
2. Your account
- You must provide a valid email and keep your password secure.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use BunkBill.
3. Households & shared data
When you join a household, the other members can see the subscriptions, expenses, splits, budgets, and votes within it. Only add information you're comfortable sharing with those members. Household admins can remove members.
4. Plans & payment
- The Starter plan is free and limited (1 member, 1 subscription).
- Paid plans (Family, Pro) are billed through Paystack at the prices shown on the pricing page, in the currency selected at checkout.
- Plan limits are enforced — for example, removing a subscription does not free up a slot on a capped plan.
- You can stop using a paid plan at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We don't provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
5. Cancellation assistance
BunkBill helps you cancel subscriptions through step-by-step guides and, on the Pro plan, optional browser automation. You remain responsible for confirming that a cancellation actually completed with the underlying service. We are not liable for charges from third-party services that you fail to cancel, or for changes those services make to their cancellation process.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use BunkBill to break the law, infringe others' rights, attempt to breach our security, scrape the service, or share another person's account credentials without their consent.
7. Service availability
BunkBill is provided "as is" and "as available". This is early-access software; features may change and downtime can happen. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BunkBill is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for amounts charged by third-party subscription services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You can stop using BunkBill and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
